What Makes Us Different?

We understand there are other FF&E and OS&E procurement companies, but at Pineapple Procurement we stand apart because of our focus on an effective business model, commitment to being transparent, decidedly honest dealings, and continued client focus.

As a boutique procurement firm, we have the flexibility to provide white-glove service that plays to our busy, time-crunched clients who need quick solutions and attentiveness. As a tight knit group with over 25 years of experience focused on boutique and soft brand hotels, you’ll never have to worry about working with inexperienced project managers. We focus on the quality of our work and dedicate senior-level staff to each project.

Regardless of what projects we are working on—big or small—we stand apart because of who we are, how we think, and how we manage day-to-day business.

Frequently Asked Questions

When do I need to hire a purchasing agent?

Typically, we are hired either before or at the same time as the interior design team. Pineapple Procurement works closely with the FF&E interior design team to develop schedules based on product lead times and gather pricing for early budget planning.

Where do you source goods?

Pineapple Procurement has a global network of suppliers in North America, South America, Central America, Asia, and Europe. Each region and supplier present a unique set of pros and cons. We analyze each option against your project goals to provide you with a unique mix of suppliers best suited to meet your goals.

How are you compensated for your work?

We use a flat-rate fee structure based on the scope of work. We do not mark-up goods or freight and we are not incentivized or compensated by any other project stakeholders. We are only compensated for our work by the client.

Who will be working on my project?

We work as a collective team on all projects to ensure each project gets support from senior-level staff with over ten years of experience, including support from our Principal, Jackie Wright.

Do you provide quantity take-offs?

Yes, we do. Creating a quantity matrix from the FF&E furniture plans is part of our standard operating procedure and one of the first things we do when starting a project.

How long will it take for goods to deliver?

That depends on a lot of variables, but we will provide you with a detailed project schedule at the onset of each project so that you will know exactly when the carpet and furniture will arrive.

What is value engineering?

Value Engineering (VE) as it relates to hospitality FF&E is a method often used to reduce the price of goods by working with the manufacturer to build furniture using more economical materials or by reducing costs to manufacture goods through streamlining or simplification of the design.

What is your selection process?

We do not favor any one vendor, supplier, or manufacturer. We believe it’s best to source goods from the supplier whose capabilities best align with the specifications and who can meet the project budget and schedule. We work closely with the client and interior design team to select the best fit for each unique project.
